Podiatry Laser: Podylas 1064

"not all laser's are equal"

We are the only place in Northern Ireland with access to the revolutionary podylas Podiatry laser. This multi-use laser system allows our podiatrists to treat a wide range of common foot and biomechanical problems in a safe, painless and non - toxic manner

Onychomycosis ( fungal nail infection)

This affects approximately 10% of the population, most infections are caused by dermatophytes which if left untreated will distort the colour, thickness and shape of the nails and an destroy the nail completely.

Until recently the only treatment options were limited to topical lacquers (which have a low success rate as the lacquer cannot penetrate through the nail) or oral medication ( which can have significant side effects and requires liver function tests every 6 weeks whilst on the medication).

Today's advances in medical technology allow us to have a new, effective, non- toxic method to treat nail fungus safely and easily. This treatment has a success rate of approximately 90%.

Neurovascular Corns

These are the most painful type of corn as they contain vascular and nerve tissue within the corn they typically require ongoing and frequent podiatry. Laser is an effective method of destroying the vascular and nerve tissue within the corn and results in a more successful and longer lasting outcome for the patient.

Can children have laser treatments?
Yes, laser treatment is very safe and effective. We treat children for a variety of conditions using lasers including verrucas, fungal nails, hyperhidrosis, ankle sprains, shin splints etc.
I have thickened, discoloured nails and thought I had a fungal nail infection. When nail samples were sent to the lab I was told I didn’t have a fungal infection. Why are my nails like this?
Sending nail clippings to the lab to diagnose fungal infection is an unreliable test as the clippings are taken from the free edge of the nail and usually the fungus is dead at this point so the lab cannot grow fungus and gives a clear result, a clinical examination of the nail is much more reliable in diagnosing fungal infection.
I have unsightly nails they are thick and discoloured how can a podiatrist help?
A specialist treatment using the latest laser technology is now available exclusively at the Fitter Feet clinic. We use advanced laser treatment to eradicate fungal infection, the leading cause of thick discoloured nails in as little as 6 treatments we can kill the fungus and restore the health and beauty of your nail. We are the only practise in Northern Ireland to have this advanced technology and have an excellent success rate of over 90%.
